Marie-Curie Research Fellow
Francesco is a Marie Curie research fellow at Leiden University's Centre for Science and Technology Studies and an assistant professor of Human Geography at Radboud University. Francesco works at the intersection of Science and Technology Studies, Human Geography, and Anthropology. He joined the FluidKnowledge team in 2022 after securing a Marie Curie Fellowship for his project, OceanVisions.
The aim of Francesco's project is to explore how different research infrastructures in marine science (ranging from ocean-going research vessels to scientific diving operations) and their funding schemes influence the research process. Through ethnographic research, Francesco aims to investigate how research infrastructures impact the way oceans and the marine environment are visualized for different audiences.
